1:00-2:00 The
Fringe Band
The Fringe has been dabbling around
the edges of Bluegrass, Oldtime, Blues, Rock,
Folk and Celtic music for many years near their
home cities of Willmar and Spicer. The variety
of music they play is enhanced by their abilities
with different instruments, their unique harmonies
and their treatment of other artist's music with
their own style. The four members -- Aane Twedt,
Doug Hoogeveen, Jim Dyer and Rick Peterson --
switch their instruments around easily and bring
to their performances just a hint of professionalism
and a profound appreciation for the music they
play. "We like to entertain everyone, even
if their taste is out there on the fringe --
with us," one of them quips. With such a
varied repertoire, most listeners will leave
a performance humming a memory. |
