The downtown festival is a FREE event
except for the Friday night concert.
There will be a Coffee Cafe with free coffee
during the festival.

The Celebrate
Art! Celebrate Coffee! festival is presented
each fall by the Willmar Area Arts Council. The
festival, which was originally a Swedish event
called Kaffee Fest, is filled with art, music,
food and fun. A Children's Area is filled with
extensive offerings of hands-on activities, games,
arts & crafts, entertainment, and art demonstrations
for the kids. Artists also display their original
art works for sale.

Opening
concert features The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet (Friday
Sept 15th at 7:30pm)
The “Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee!” opening event on September
15 will feature The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet in concert at the Willmar
Education & Arts Center auditorium, 611 5th Street SW, Willmar, MN. Ticket price is $15
per person--general admission. Tickets will be available at the Arts Council

FREE guitar workshop (Saturday
September 16 at 10:30am)
The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet will be doing a FREE
guitar workshop at the Willmar Education & Arts Center
Rehearsal Hall on Saturday, September 16, beginning at
10:30 am. They will have a performance about 2:00 in the afternoon. The workshop participants
will be included in the afternoon performance. More
details to follow regarding the Saturday event.
Poster Unveiling set (Thursday
August 10th in The Barn Theatre at 5pm)
The works of art featured on the
2006 “Celebrate
Art! Celebrate Coffee!” poster will be unveiled
at the Barn Theatre lobby on Thursday, August 10, at
5:00 p.m. at a reception honoring the four artists.
The public is invited to attend the open house reception
to honor the 2006 artists: Joanne Meierhofer, pastel;
Eunice Buchanan, stained glass; Kathy Nedrelow, fiber
art; and Laura Welle, mixed media. Raffle tickets for
chances to win these unique pieces of art will be on
sale, as well as official posters signed by the artists.
The Barn Theatre is located at 321 4th Street SW in
Willmar.
Artwork is commissioned each year, made into
full color
posters and used to promote the Festival and
sell
as a fundraiser.
